Mini DisplayPort Adapters
Mini DisplayPort Cables for Apple Macs and More The Mini DisplayPort cable is a smaller version of the DisplayPort digital display interface, used commonly with Apple products such as the MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, and LED Cinema Display and has also recently been adapted by notebook PCs, such as those from HP, Dell, and Toshiba. It's a smaller version of the standard DisplayPort cable, designed mainly for notebooks. The Mini DisplayPort cable supports resolutions up to 2560x1600, far surpassing the likes of its predecessors, Mini-DVI and Micro-DVI. With the correct adapter, the Mini DisplayPort connection can even adapt to VGA, DVI, or HDMI connections. On April 13 2010, Apple added audio functionality to the Mini DisplayPort, allowing MacBook Pros and PC notebooks to plug into an HDTV, with full support for video and audio (Note: notebooks prior to 2010 will not support audio, even if the Mini DisplayPort supports audio functionality).
