The HDMI 1.4 specification introduces a new “Micro” connector which is approximately 50% smaller than the previous “Mini” connector and roughly the size of a Micro USB connector. This “Type D” connector still contains the full 19 pin array like other full size HDMI connectors yet packs it into a much smaller form factor.
